Los Angeles-based songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Jesiah Dzwonek carved out a name for himself following the success of the multi-platinum hit Cool Kids that he co-wrote for Echosmith (Warner Bros.) in which he coined the phrase “I wish that I could be like the cool kids”. It found its way into the iTunes download of the week and later shown on the face of the Apple Watch when it was first revealed to the world. Jesiah’s solo project took Cool Kids’ contradictory, indie sound and embellished it with pop, off-center touches that nodded to Beck and the optimistic melodies of Vampire Weekend. Jesiah moved from lush scenic Oregon to Los Angeles the winter following songwriting success, setting up shop for new artist projects.
